There was tremendous excitement among the fans about the much-awaited film War 2 of Bollywood Spy Universe. The pairing of Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr., Kiara Advani’s glamorous role and the news of a big cameo in the post-credits made the film a hot topic.
But just before the release, the film team took a decision that shocked everyone – about 13 minutes of content was removed from the film.
What changes were made in War 2?
According to sources, the portion that was removed was mainly the dialogues and scenes of Hrithik vs NTR, not the post-credits cameo.
The total length of the film right now is 2 hours 53 minutes and apart from this, there will also be a 10-minute post-credits scene.
Reason for cutting the film
According to reports, Hrithik Roshan himself suggested that the film should move forward fast and without unnecessary breaks. That is why long dialogues, slow moments and extra scenes were edited.
The action sequences (total 6 big action blocks) were not tampered with.

Fans are surprised that director Ayan Mukherjee‘s name is being taken very little in the promotion, whereas he has not had a flop film in his track record yet. Industry experts are saying that he did not get complete creative freedom in this project.
Spy Universe and Surprise Cameo
War 2 is a part of the Spy Universe which includes characters like Tiger, Pathan, Jim and Alpha.
Anil Kapoor’s cameo is also confirmed in the film, who will further join the storyline of Alpha, Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol.
The details of the post-credit scene have been kept secret by the YRF team so far.
Box Office Competition – War 2 vs Coolie
The advance booking of War 2 has started from August 10. The film is under pressure to break the record of Coolie, which has done an advance booking of 50 crores.
War 2 has the advantage of Hrithik and NTR’s fan base, which could make it the biggest hit of 2025.
